With the huge collapse of My Forex Funds (MFF) there has been lots of gossip about the leader of prop firms FTMO and it’s future.
The big question is FTMO going down? Well let’s discuss what the whole controversy is behind why FTMO may close down soon. FTMO only last week announced they were no longer serving US client and closing all trading accounts for all US customers. The reason this may have been is because SEC are really cracking down on CFD trading brokers and platforms in the US. If you didn’t know by now, CFD has been banned for a long time in the states.

Quite frankly all good things come to an end eventually, be it for regulation reasons or whatever. FTMO won’t be no exception, they are over 80% market share in the prop firm world. FTMO won’t close down entirely in our opinion as they have funded traders who support their business model by being consistent profitable traders. Maybe a few countries will restrict their business, however the management team are very good at organising its structure, so basically I wouldn’t worry about FTMO closing down one day.
